Barry VK5KBJ Accident.

The SCARC thoughts go out to Barry and family, after a nasty fall from a ladder on Wednesday 1/11/06. Barry unfortunately has fractured his pelvis and was laid up in hospital. We wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back on his feet and the air ASAP.

New Members and Exam Results.

The SCARC has successfully held several examination weekends over the last 12 months, with over 20 condidates qualifying for their Foundation Licences. We have also have a couple of members upgrade their current licences to Standard and Advanced. The benefit of holding these exams has resulted in the club increasing its membership numbers to 50. This has been a result of a discount for those who sit exams and become members of the club. Thanks has to go to Barry VK5KBJ and Jim VK5JST for their continued efforts in helping the candidates qualify, as well as taking the time to hold the exams on behalf of the club. We also very much appreciate the efforts and WELL DONE!!
Regards - Stef Daniels VK5HSX.

SCARC Clubrooms - A New Home in Hackham.

The SCARC has made it's move to share with the Hackham Scout Group after relocation from the old clubrooms at Karawatha Community Hall. The NEW address is - 16 Roberts Road, Hackham West. It has turned out to be a great move, with the club able to use ALL facilities on Wednesday Nights.
Regards - Stef Daniels VK5HSX.

SCARC Clubrooms organising to Move.

The SCARC Committee has been given permission from the members to negotiate an agreement with Hackham Scout Group to organise relocation of the Clubrooms from Karawatha Community Hall to the Hackham Scout Hall - 8 Roberts Road, Hackham West. It was agreed and voted that we seek an agreement to move, as rental costs at the Karawatha Hall were increasing, resulting in excessive expenses for the club. For this to happen, we need to be moved out of Karawatha Hall by 30 June 2006, as our new rental contract is re-negotiated for the begining of the 2006/7 Financial Year. Further Info will be provided as more comes to hand. Regards - Stef Daniels VK5HSX.

SCARC Wireless Installation VK5TTY Site Approved.

The SCARC finally obtained permission from the O'Halloran Hill TAFE College to go ahead with the installation of a Wireless Access Point and Link (City <-> Southern Area). SCARC is combining with Air-stream Inc. to organise the installation. Thanks goes to John Jenner VK5KJJ and Robert Hart (Airstream) for the help in negotiating the installation on behalf of both SCARC and Airstream. It is hope that the installation will go ahead within a fortnights time. Further Info will be provided as more comes to hand. Regards - Stef Daniels VK5HSX.
